History dates back to 1928
The father company, Oy Hyllos Ab, was established by the Tengström family in 1928. The business started out importing a variety of goods, including flowering bulbs, before ultimately setting its sights on industrial imports. By the 1950’s the company had become a key supplier to the Finnish foundry industry. Hyllos represented the products of, among others, Albertus Werke GmbH as well as the foundry design department of Swedish G & L Beijer Ab.
In 1975 Hyllos was sold to Swedish G & L Beijer Ab and in 1982 the Hyllos name was changed to G & L Beijer Oy. Beijer Alma’s acquisition of Beijer Tech concluded in March 2010. In June 2010 the company name was changed to Beijer Oy.
Today Beijer Oy specialises in importing industrial products for the metal industry, primarily serving the metallurgic industry and the foundry and engineering industries. Beijers belongs to Swedish listed company Beijer Alma Ab.
